Cat in arms of doctor

Digital images, including ultrasounds and radiographs, are commonly to diagnose a variety of conditions and ailments in dogs and cats. When results are unclear or a pet's condition is unstable digital consult with Radiology specialists is available at Kansas City Animal Emergency.

Ultrasound Imaging

Ultrasound imaging involves using sound waves to create an image on a computer monitor. Ultrasound imaging is painless and does not have any side-effects. Our staff is well experienced in Ultrasound imaging and routinely uses this valuable resource to diagnose everything from urinary stones to pericardial effusions.

Radiographs

The common term for a radiograph is an x-ray. These images can help diagnose problems and conditions with the bones and joints, such as broken bones, swelling in the joints and other types of bone abnormalities as well as many other conditions. X-rays can also be used to diagnose problems with the internal organs, like the heart, lungs, spleen, liver and kidneys. At Kansas City Animal Emergency we partner with your regular Veterinarian to provide comprehensive care and monitoring when your vet is closed.
